2017-2020 (Concrete plaster, aluminum, led strip, duratrans prints, 21 pieces light box) 235x223x2cm, each light box 19,5x21cm
The concrete-cast ceramics for this work is created with inspiration from ramʼs horn and hands on hips motifs on Turkish kilims. These motifs symbolize masculine power and female fertility as symbols preserving the hierarchical dualism of identities ingrained in the society. These narratives are re-written by means of technology in order to reverse this dualism. The duratrans prints on the ceramics consist of genderless nipples created using ai based on an archive obtained from images from various porn sites and google search.
